1901 Recordings is dedicated to providing quality, full length recordings to compliment your company's unique service. At the heart of this operation is artist and owner, Jeff Bianchi.
A dedicated musician of 25 years, Jeff has spent the majority of his waking hours on music. Whether it is through his studio recordings or live performances, communicating to an audience is the focal point of his art.
Picking up the guitar at age 12, Jeff's career began 5 years later with his first band “Drift". A hard rock band based in his hometown of Williamson, New York, the band worked for 4 years in clubs and parties around the Finger Lakes region. During these years, he was principle songwriter for the band and contributed an enormous amount of original compositions. These early years were crucial in shaping his songwriting and performing skills.
During his tenure in Drift, Jeff enrolled in the Hochstein School of Music, studying the classical guitar. His intense study of the instrument continued for 4 years at the State University of New York at Fredonia. While at Fredonia, Jeff studied under world renown guitarist James Piorkowski. He also participated in masterclasses with Stanley Yates, Paul Galbraith and the Brazilian Guitar Quartet. His hard work at Fredonia earned him a Bachelors degree in Music Performance.
With a wealth of experience in performing and songwriting, Jeff felt a major career move was in order. Immediately after graduating from Fredonia, Jeff relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. With only 2 guitars, a rusty 15 year old car and $200 to his name, he was determined to build a life for himself as an artist.
While in Atlanta, Jeff honed his songwriting abilities with original acts while continuing to give concerts on the classical guitar. His hard work eventually brought him to Nashville to audition for the nationally touring road band “Young Guns”. Immediately upon auditioning, he was given the lead guitarist position. In a matter of weeks he embarked on a 15 month tour of North America. With the band, Jeff's playing focused on the Southern Rock and Modern Country genres. The band became very successful and often played to packed clubs around the U.S. His touring continued with Chace Roberts's (St. Paul, Minnesota) 4 month farewell Summer tour. During this time, Jeff opened for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and took part in the National Rodeo in Superior, Wisconsin.
Not only were his "road days" a very care free and adventurous time in his life, they also were a fantastic education in the music business. During these adventures, Jeff learned the importance of creating an excellent product and marketing it to the right audience. On a musical level, his songwriting abilities improved dramatically as a result of being exposed to so much well written music.
After nearly 2 years of non stop touring, Jeff was ready to advance to the next stage of his career. Upon returning to Georgia, Jeff was offered the lead guitarist posistion for SCF Entertainment (Atlanta, Georgia). The invaluable 6 year tenure gave Jeff the chance to work with all of its “era tribute bands“; playing everything from 70's Funk to Pantera. Playing many clubs and private events, these 6 years truly solidified his skills on the electric guitar. Currently, Jeff is a member of the high energy R&B act, the Answer Band.
Simultaneously, Jeff has continued to build a performing career on the classical guitar. Over time, his solo performances have steadily gained momentum. He has performed regularly at art centers, libraries and performance halls around the South East. The success of these concerts expanded his solo performances to West, Midwest and Northeast. Thankfully, the classical guitar remains a vibrant part of his career. Jeff gives between 20-25 concerts annually in a variety of venues around the U.S. He plans to start touring internationally by 2019.
As his career progressed, Jeff became interested in recording his works and releasing them on a large scale. 1901 Recordings is Jeff's effort to combine his love of the classical guitar, electric guitar and songwriting into an audio format for the general public. His goal is to provide quality music to companies, organizations, and individuals whose unique services would compliment his recorded works.
Currently, Jeff lives in Lanier Harbor (Buford, Georgia) where his time is devoted solely to his music.
